How do you get a 2.5k+ field organization of sellers to speak the same language?

You partner with one of the best in the business, Winning by Design, to deploy a singular sales methodology to better equip our teams.

Over the last 3 months, a small group of Sales Enablement leaders had the opportunity to learn a SaaS-focused sales methodology and how to deploy globally.

I am confident that through this methodology, we will be able to level up as a sales organization and better drive #IMPACT with our clients.

A few weeks ago we joined forces with Winning by Design. We started a 360 approach to level up everything from sales org, to processes, tool stack and of course our GTM market approach. (why? well spoiler #BANT, #MEDDIC all nice but not state of the art because they are #seller-centric and not #customer-centric. They all have their importance but falling short covering the entire funnel from prospecting, closing/winning to onboarding and LTV -> that is why we adopt the #SPICED framework).

For me as a Rep (long time ago) and as Revenue Leader, the SPICED framework was and is a game changer. The impact on GTM, the operational level, the business model and the underlying data required makes it unbeatable for me.

In the following week, all our Reps will go through the best in class sales and customer success training covering the entire sales funnel, skills, mindset and coaching frameworks.
This is a massive investment into our company’s future and primarily in our current talent to develop sales & customer success ⭐️ superstars ⭐️

I recently completed the ‘Mastership in Revenue Architecture’ course and can’t begin to tell you how useful it has been. As a revenue professional, understanding the baseline models of the revenue machine is crucial for success, and too often we spend our time downloading the ‘software’ of sales success without really getting to understand the ‘operating system’ that everything runs on. This is where the Revenue Architecture model kicks in.

This isn’t a course on ‘how to sell’ or ‘where to find your ICP’ – this is a course that covers the fundamentals of GTM model design and execution, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have chosen to build a career as a revenue professional, you should consider this course an update to your core OS.

The most advanced and complete SaaS sales / GTM framework (and training) I’ve ever come across. PERIOD!

I’ve consumed all the most famous sales methods you can think of. But it always felt like the picture was incomplete and something was missing. That was until I discovered WbD and their unique YouTube videos. It literally blew me away and change my view on SaaS sales methodology. Forget about tricks to “close the deal” and wing it like the pro…If like me you’ve been longing for a sales training framework that breathe data, can reconcile all other methods you’ve learned about, put processes and models first, then your search is over.

Rather than simply sign off, I want to say I’m DELIGHTED with the output we have now…Overall, I’m blown away by the work that has gone into this. This significantly supports us to raise the bar and deliver a notably higher standard of CS. This WILL become what we live and breathe within CS, and I know the team will embrace the content, structure and guidance it provides.

Using SPICED is a firm favourite of mine!

The Winning by Design methodology is what we have implemented successfully at FreeAgent the past 3 or 4 years.

Simple sales framework to help with your conversations keeps you consistent and, more importantly, in control of what is being said!

They have a very easy-to-use learning system and blueprints you can download to help with learning. They conducted live sessions, which were very interactive; the instructor worked with all members of the course and showed a very high level of professionalism and, to top it off, had great energy.

After our first class of Prospecting with Intent with Winning by Design I’m excited to rework emails in our sequences.

The “RRR” Framework has helped us realize we need to be better at providing value for our clients in our emails. I’m pumped to see what this will do for our SDR team! If you are an SDR leader or an SDR I recommend learning about “RRR”- Relevance, Reward, and Request.

The trainers are incredible, as well as the platform itself. The first thing they teach you is how people learn — then they show you how we’ll utilize that knowledge to make our time training together more impactful.

Their process exposes you to the information multiple times and in various ways (read, watch, talk it out). The collateral provided is helpful to reference back to as well. Trainers are personable and make the courses more enjoyable.

Like most things these days, a lot of that has become data-driven, and in my opinion Jacco van der Kooij and the team at Winning by Design have a lock on what metrics you need to inform your strategy and drive growth.

Training Program for Sales Manager

Winning by Design CEO Dominique Levin says that sales managers are critical for the success of recurring revenue companies. They are the ones charged with onboarding new members of the team and getting them up to speed as quickly as possible. They serve as coaches, helping account executives of all levels hone their skills. And they help the entire team understand the most effective ways of reaching customers. “The only way these behaviors are going to stick is if these concepts come back at every one-on-one or team meeting a manager has,” Levin says. “At the end of the day, it’s all about the frontline managers.”

On top of that, Levin says, sales managers are a CEO’s most effective channel for communicating the company’s goals for the future. “Team leaders and frontline managers have the biggest impact when it comes to translating your strategy into practice,” she said in a recent interview with ValientCEO. “Your crew will take their lead from their direct team lead, not from you.”

But according to Levin, many sales managers have never been trained on how to pass along the skills that their sales reps need. In the past, companies rarely put time, money, and effort into training programs for sales managers. But that seems to be changing. “That’s a missing link that we see companies small and large starting to invest in,” she says.

Why is training for sales managers so crucial for a recurring revenue company’s long-term success? The truth is that many of the sales managers who are promoted internally struggle with their new roles. The Harvard Business Review reports that close to a third of those who move up to leadership positions within their companies don’t have all of the skills to do the job. That shows why strategic sales management courses are so important. It provides those who have recently been promoted to leadership positions, as well as those who have shown an interest in moving up within their organizations, with the skills they need to lead their teams.

Winning by Design offers online sales management courses that give sales managers — both those that are new to the job and those who want to move up in the ranks — the tools they need in today’s marketplace. Britta Liesbrock, Head of Customer Relations at d.velop, says that she appreciated the “well-structured and interactive training” offered for sales managers through Winning by Design. “We needed to develop and expand the coaching of our salespeople,” she said. “Winning by Design helped us get familiar with their frameworks and integrate them successfully in our company.”

Best Sales Manager Training

When you’re seeking out the best sales manager training, consider Winning by Design. Our Revenue Academy has a sales management training program designed with today’s sales professionals in mind. Managing for Impact, a newly updated and expanded course, develops foundational coaching skills for managers of sales and customer success teams. Managing for Impact gives leaders the techniques they need to be effective coaches and help their teams improve their own skills and implement new process initiatives.

Heba Dandsh, a Learning and Development Consultant, said earning her certification in the Managing for Impact course left her feeling energized. “My biggest takeaway that I’m planning on applying going forward is to be an involved leader,” she said. “That means supporting my team with the necessary knowledge and skills so they can flourish in their roles and be set up for success.

After taking Managing for Impact, many sales managers move on to Managing for Leadership. The second course in this learning track is designed to build on the skills that sales managers already have. The eight-hour course starts with revenue metrics, focusing on which ones are most important and how to use them to set clear goals for a sales team. It also helps managers create a weekly, monthly, and quarterly coaching cadence to make sure their team continues to hone their own skills and explains how scorecards can help their team make more effective sales calls.

Rich Fetter, Director of Customer Success at Talkwalker, said that Winning by Design offers one of the best online sales management courses he’s come across. “The content that was covered was perfect for anyone who is a manager,” said Fetter. “Winning by Design offers a consistent approach to managing clients and managing a team effectively, especially in a remote environment.”

These sales manager training topics are an ideal introduction to Revenue Architecture, which explains the principles of recurring revenue and how to apply them to your business. Geared toward top-level executives, it’s also a good choice for those who are moving into revenue leadership positions. More than 1,000 people have already taken the Revenue Architecture course, which dives deep into how your business can apply the right go-to-market model.

Joyce Corbin, Director of RevOps at Screencastify, said she was impressed by how much material the course was able to cover in a short amount of time. “We learned all about the fundamental models for sustainable growth that make up the Recurring Revenue Operating Model,” she said. “I now have so many resources, blueprints, and frameworks at my disposal. I cannot wait to be able to start applying everything I’ve learned.

More and more executives are realizing the critical role that sales managers play in their organizations. According to research from Gartner, more than 60% of Chief Sales Officers say that improving sales manager effectiveness is one of their top goals. But what are the best sales management training courses? There are many online sales training programs available today, but how do you choose the one that’s best for your company?

Roseman said that the combination of trainer-led sessions and self-directed learning were perfect for her team. “Winning by Design’s sales management training program helped us build the foundation for how to effectively set up a coaching sales environment,” she said. “It also provides you with the building blocks to be successful and gives you guidance on how to add coaching techniques to your current team schedule structure.”

Certificate in Sales Management

In addition to our open courses that are given on a monthly basis, we also offer private classes that are ideal for small groups or entire departments, along with a sales coaching program to help your team incorporate what they have learned into their day-to-day duties. Included are top-notch research, helpful blueprints, and detailed playbooks so that they can refresh their knowledge at any time.

One thing that sets Winning by Design’s sales manager training courses is our accreditation. Our highly sought-after certificate in sales management is recognized throughout the industry. It’s documentation that your team has the education that’s necessary in today’s world. Winning by Design has already awarded more than 5,000 certificates to graduates of our Revenue Academy.

Edouard Cogne, Account Manager at Hello Customer, said that Winning by Design’s online sales certificate program ramped up his skills immediately. “The course gave me very useful sales methods and practical examples that helped more than any other training I had in the past,” he said. “I can already see the benefits!”

Sales Manager Juliana Lima said her online sales management certification course improved her management skills right away. “I have been applying the frameworks that I learned in my meetings and it’s working a lot,” she said. “My team is much more motivated, and we are about to reach our quarter quota.”

The management certification courses offered by Winning by Design are backed by our proven track record of more than a decade. Over the years, more than 600 companies have chosen us to train their revenue teams.
