How do you get a 2.5k+ field organization of sellers to speak the same language?

You partner with one of the best in the business, Winning by Design, to deploy a singular sales methodology to better equip our teams.

Over the last 3 months, a small group of Sales Enablement leaders had the opportunity to learn a SaaS-focused sales methodology and how to deploy globally.

I am confident that through this methodology, we will be able to level up as a sales organization and better drive #IMPACT with our clients.

A few weeks ago we joined forces with Winning by Design. We started a 360 approach to level up everything from sales org, to processes, tool stack and of course our GTM market approach. (why? well spoiler #BANT, #MEDDIC all nice but not state of the art because they are #seller-centric and not #customer-centric. They all have their importance but falling short covering the entire funnel from prospecting, closing/winning to onboarding and LTV -> that is why we adopt the #SPICED framework).

For me as a Rep (long time ago) and as Revenue Leader, the SPICED framework was and is a game changer. The impact on GTM, the operational level, the business model and the underlying data required makes it unbeatable for me.

In the following week, all our Reps will go through the best in class sales and customer success training covering the entire sales funnel, skills, mindset and coaching frameworks.
This is a massive investment into our company’s future and primarily in our current talent to develop sales & customer success ⭐️ superstars ⭐️

I recently completed the ‘Mastership in Revenue Architecture’ course and can’t begin to tell you how useful it has been. As a revenue professional, understanding the baseline models of the revenue machine is crucial for success, and too often we spend our time downloading the ‘software’ of sales success without really getting to understand the ‘operating system’ that everything runs on. This is where the Revenue Architecture model kicks in.

This isn’t a course on ‘how to sell’ or ‘where to find your ICP’ – this is a course that covers the fundamentals of GTM model design and execution, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have chosen to build a career as a revenue professional, you should consider this course an update to your core OS.

The most advanced and complete SaaS sales / GTM framework (and training) I’ve ever come across. PERIOD!

I’ve consumed all the most famous sales methods you can think of. But it always felt like the picture was incomplete and something was missing. That was until I discovered WbD and their unique YouTube videos. It literally blew me away and change my view on SaaS sales methodology. Forget about tricks to “close the deal” and wing it like the pro…If like me you’ve been longing for a sales training framework that breathe data, can reconcile all other methods you’ve learned about, put processes and models first, then your search is over.

Rather than simply sign off, I want to say I’m DELIGHTED with the output we have now…Overall, I’m blown away by the work that has gone into this. This significantly supports us to raise the bar and deliver a notably higher standard of CS. This WILL become what we live and breathe within CS, and I know the team will embrace the content, structure and guidance it provides.

Using SPICED is a firm favourite of mine!

The Winning by Design methodology is what we have implemented successfully at FreeAgent the past 3 or 4 years.

Simple sales framework to help with your conversations keeps you consistent and, more importantly, in control of what is being said!

They have a very easy-to-use learning system and blueprints you can download to help with learning. They conducted live sessions, which were very interactive; the instructor worked with all members of the course and showed a very high level of professionalism and, to top it off, had great energy.

After our first class of Prospecting with Intent with Winning by Design I’m excited to rework emails in our sequences.

The “RRR” Framework has helped us realize we need to be better at providing value for our clients in our emails. I’m pumped to see what this will do for our SDR team! If you are an SDR leader or an SDR I recommend learning about “RRR”- Relevance, Reward, and Request.

Helpful and great methodology to learn. What I liked best was the impact of the storytelling “hero story”, spiced framework, and the importance of the 1st value and full value.

The trainers are incredible, as well as the platform itself. The first thing they teach you is how people learn — then they show you how we’ll utilize that knowledge to make our time training together more impactful.

Their process exposes you to the information multiple times and in various ways (read, watch, talk it out). The collateral provided is helpful to reference back to as well. Trainers are personable and make the courses more enjoyable.

Like most things these days, a lot of that has become data-driven, and in my opinion Jacco van der Kooij and the team at Winning by Design have a lock on what metrics you need to inform your strategy and drive growth.

Customer Success Leadership Training

What’s the secret to a strong recurring revenue program? According to Alia Pirani, Winning by Design’s Head of Learning for Customer Success, it’s making sure your customers understand what you’ve been able to accomplish together. “We take it for granted that customers are connecting the dots,” says Pirani. “Part of our role as customer success managers is to help them connect the dots. It’s not about telling them the impact they’ve gotten, it’s about helping them see it on their own.”

Pirani says that customers can be so excited to tackle a new problem that they forget what they have already accomplished. During an Impact Review — also known as a Quarterly Business Review or Executive Business Review — a top-notch customer success team should start by celebrating the impact that customers have already achieved. “Remind them of what the world looked like before they started using your product,” Pirani says. “It’s critical that they articulate the pain they were experiencing and the impact they’ve achieved.”

After that, the goal is to align on the impact that you’re going to achieve in the future. A customer might not always have a clear idea of what they want to achieve in the future. But a customer success manager can ask questions to help uncover new opportunities for their clients. “You’re able to say to your customer, ‘This is the vision I have for your company,’” she says. “’This is where I think we can take you.’ This really deepens the relationship you have with the customer and transforms you into a trusted advisor.”

It’s that last part — helping your customer understand how to solve their challenges — that’s the key to success in a recurring revenue company. If your team can earn the trust of their customers, you can be sure that you’ll develop a long-term relationship with them.

What’s the best way to hone your skills as a customer success leader? Try customer success leadership training with Winning by Design’s Revenue Academy. Our customer success courses — taught by Pirani and other top names in the field — provide insider knowledge through engaging instructors, interactive training sessions, best-in-class frameworks, and detailed blueprints that let you refer back to what you’ve learned. Our courses and certifications empower SaaS organizations to become machines for revenue.

Using the principles outlined in our groundbreaking Customer Success Operating Model, courses like Customer Success For Impact (covering how to build customer-centric organizations) and Account Management for Growth (revealing how you can uncover opportunities, plan strategically, and build and deepen relationships with customers) allow your customer success team to thrive. On top of that, our private classes have curriculums that can be tailored to your company’s specific needs.

Looking for the best customer success certification of 2022? Searching for a Certified Customer Success Management Professional (CCSMP) program? Need IT training for your team? Winning by Design will help you determine the proper staffing, skills training, and strategic direction you’ll need to drive significantly more value than your competitors and drive greater value for your customers.

Customer Success Manager Courses

“I never pictured myself being a Customer Success Manager,” said Lauren Nugent, Principal Customer Success Manager at Talkwalker. “I’ve found myself here by way of a journalism interest that turned into a PR internship that turned into an advertising profession and then off to a SAAS company. That said, I can honestly say I love what I do, and that participating in a Winning by Design course reminded me why.”

Nugent said that not all customer success manager courses are created equal. Taking part in Winning by Design’s Customer Success for Impact course helped her realize that the best customer success manager certification teaches a manager more than how to oversee a team. “Customer success managers are not ‘managers of success’,” she said. “We are critical thinkers, problem-solvers, storytellers, and relationship navigators. We are given challenges daily. We are finding ‘wins’ out of nowhere.”

Nugent and the hundreds of other certified customer success managers who have taken Winning by Design’s Customer Success for Impact course understand that customer success is no longer a cost center. Customer success is now regarded as an important profit center for recurring revenue companies. That’s because up to 93% of a customer’s lifetime value comes months or years after the initial sale. Customer success is an often-overlooked driver for sustainable revenue at B2B companies.

Sales leader Rachel Rozen said that Winning by Design’s Revenue Architecture course taught her “how to recognize areas of improvement and practical ways to implement change” in her current position. “As a customer success leader, I’m always talking about the sales cycle not ending as ‘closed won,’ but as a continuous motion through the lifetime of the customer through customer success. Your customer is successful with your product when you’re making an impact on their business. Those impacts will have compounded value for both them and you.”

Looking for the best customer success manager certification in 2022? Kati Hajjar, Customer Success Manager at OwnBackup, said that she loves Winning by Design because of all the tools we provide her team. “Winning by Design was back and at it again with our customer success team here at OwnBackup,” she said. “As a Customer Success Enablement Manager, I love engaging in any and all training and content that our CSMs are using to upskill. The real fun begins when we take new learnings and together create a plan to put them into practice.”

Best Customer Success Certification

When it comes to the best customer success courses, look no further than Winning by Design. We prove that customer success manager certification doesn’t have to be dull. Chris Raw, a Customer Success Executive at SmartRecruiters, said it was “easily the most fun training course I have been on in my career.”

“When I moved from talent acquisition to customer success three years ago, the fun videos from Jacco van der Kooij and the rest of the Winning by Design team helped me to connect more with my newly found career,” he said. “So you can imagine how thrilled I was when SmartRecruiters invested in me and the team with a full-blown training course on how we can better serve our customers and help them create the impact they need to be successful.”

According to Raw, the best customer success certification courses are not at all like the traditional classroom experience. There may be one or more instructors, but they aren’t just people reading from a script. They are seasoned sales professionals who are providing examples from their experience in the field and discussing different ways to approach the types of challenges all sales teams face at one time or another. And they use a variety of methods to keep participants engaged.

When you’re looking to become a certified customer success manager (CCSM), turn to Winning by Design. Participants agree that we have the industry’s best customer success coaching certification programs. Alee Hess, Senior Mid-Market Account Manager for Levelset, said the Customer Success for Impact course helped her hone her skills. “Winning by Design’s courses and instructors helped us learn and create frameworks where our sales skills can thrive,” she said. “It helped me add ‘levers’ to my negotiation toolbox. I’m now able to provide other benefits instead of leaning into price adjustments only.

Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 1

When it comes to customer success management courses, Manasi Mantri, Account Manager at BrowserStack, has lots of great things to say about Winning by Design. She pointed out that our online customer success courses taught her techniques that she could start using immediately. “Sales reps often ponder over how to keep client conversations real while also ensuring that we don’t miss out on any important aspects in the process, don’t we?” she asked. “This course gave a structure to the interactions that we have with our clients so that both the sales rep and the client can get the most value out of each meeting or interaction.”

Kevin Wright, Senior Manager of Customer Success at Adobe, said Winning by Design has some of the best customer success manager certification that he has seen. “It was an engaging and relevant training course,” he said. “The energy and enthusiasm of the trainer was incredible. We needed help to structure conversations that are specific to customer success. The content was written from a customer success perspective and was perfect for our team’s challenges.”

When it comes to CCSM training, Winning by Design has repeatedly been recognized as a standout in the field. Training Industry, the leading research and information resource for corporate learning leaders, named us one of the top training programs of 2022. We have earned more than 600 five-star reviews on G2 and have been ranked among the best in five different categories, including Customer Success Training. That’s why when companies need the best customer success manager certification programs of 2022, they turn to Winning by Design.
